Paper Accepted in PLoS One

plos_oneYesterday, I got the news that the second chapter of my thesis has been accepted for publication. Presentation at UCLA’s EcoEvoPub

IMG_0835This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of presenting my latest work at EcoEvoPub, a seminar series for graduate students, by graduate students.  I was originally planning on presenting my work assessing the complexity of syntax in Cassin’s Vireo songs – the same work I presented last summer at the AOU/COS meeting in Oklahoma – but in the week leading up to this talk I had some significant breakthroughs in the analysis of a series of playback experiments conducted last summer. I decided instead to whip together these new results, and ended up changing the talk altogether.  Continue reading
